| ANSWERS |
| |
| Q: I've never taken acting before. Can I attend the studio? |
| A: The majority of members of the Studio have had previous acting experience, either training or performing. Those who have not had previous acting training may be performers in other disciplines such as music or dance. |

| Q: What kind of payment plans do you have? |
A: Although we try our utmost to accommodate our students, we do not have a payment plan. For part-time students acting fees are payable monthly. Supplementary classes require a $100 minimum deposit to hold your spot, with the balance due on the first day of class. Full-time students and M-1 have a three-payment schedule:
1. A deposit to hold your place;
2. A payment equal to one-half of the remainder due on the first day of class; and
3. A payment of the remainder due on the first day of December. |

| Q: When do the next sessions start? |
| A: Acting classes begin three times a year. First, there is a six-week Summer Intensive that generally runs from mid-June through the end of July. The Summer Intensive can be an introduction to the work for new-comers or a brush-up for Alumni. The Intensive covers material equal to the first 10 weeks of the two-year program. Second, the Fall Two-Year program represents the start of the bulk of the classes at the studio. These include 7 sections of Acting and supplementary classes like Movement, Voice & Speech, Mask and more. Students continuing from the Summer Intensive into the Fall Two-Year begin back at the beginning of the work. This affords them a rare opportunity to correct any problems they may have discovered during the Intensive. Third, there are two sections of Acting that begin in January. The January program runs from January through July, takes August off. Students return in September and continue on through the following June; finishing the program in 18 calendar months rather than 24 calendar months.
Supplementary classes are scheduled through-out the year. Students are informed through emails and postings when it is time to sign-up for such classes. |

| Q: Do you have to be a graduate of the studio to take supplemental classes? |
| A: The majority of the students in the supplemental classes are members of the Studio. However, certain classes are open to non-members. These include: Voice & Speech, Movement, Acting for the Camera and Monolog Class. If you have a question about a specific class, please call the Studio. |

| Q: How does the application process work? |
| A: Prospective students seeking admission must call the Studio to undergo a pre-screening and, if successful, to book an interview appointment with Mr. Esper. At the time of the interview the student must bring a recent photograph, a resume of acting work and a "Statement of Purpose." This is an essay, of less than one page, describing why the applicant wants to be an actor; and what their goals are in coming to the Studio. More often than not, students will know if they are accepted to the Studio at the conclusion of the second interview. For a complete list of admissions requirements, please see our Admissions page. |
